Why This Works-Fake cheese is expensive and may not come in the form needed for the show. The gel candle wax has a realistic weight for the end product. It is tintable and durable. When crème wax is added to the gel wax, it gives the gel wax more structure and reduces the bubbles and the wax will set faster. Adding more crème wax to the gel wax allows the gel wax to set faster, but it can be harder to cut once it has hardened. For a softer cheese, use a 2:1 ratio of gel wax to crème wax. Both are low-density candle waxes that are long lasting and odorless.
