ABSTRACT
Why This Works-Insulation (extruded polystyrene) foam is quite easy to form and cut. It comes in a variety of thicknesses. Buying the contractor pack of ½” thick foam is cost-effective. It can be laminated together with either 3M™ Fastbond™ 30NF Contact Adhesive or Elmer’s® Glue-All®. For this recipe, Elmer’s® Glue-All® was used. The benefit is this is slightly less expensive and readily available. The foam typically comes in two colors, pink and blue. The pink extruded polystyrene (XPS) is produced by Owens Corning® Foamular® and the blue XPS is produced by Dow™ Styrofoam™.
