Why This Works-Creating large lettuce leaves from a strong, white (no inked patterns is helpful) paper towel like Bounty® Paper Towels saturated with Rosco® CrystalGel works well because the paper towels are a similar thickness as lettuce. Once the Rosco® CrystalGel is applied to paper towel, balling the paper towel up ensures that it gets evenly coated and produces a texture simulating the veining of the leaf. It can be shaped and molded to resemble a lettuce leaf.
