ABSTRACT

Cognitive behavioral therapy programs can be very effective in helping individuals reduce their anxiety and other related difficulties (e.g., worry, depression). The first step in evaluating how effective this program has been for you, and in determining what you will want to continue to work on in the next weeks and months, is to take stock of the changes you have experienced so far. Chapter 10 will guide you through the process of identifying the components of your anxiety that have changed (e.g., changes in anxious thinking, reductions in problematic behavior, less frequent worry). You will work on developing a plan for maintaining the gains you have made over the next weeks and months and identify any areas where you continue to experience difficulties.
