ABSTRACT

The final stages of post-production offer various different opportunities enhance the artist's video dance, to ensure that it is the best it can be. Music can be a wonderful addition to the video dance. It can add atmosphere and mood, pace and drama. It can evoke different times, places and seasons. The text that accompanies artist's video dance and how it is presented plays an important part in introducing the work to its potential audience. The aim is partly to entice people to watch their work and, whilst they do not necessarily want to 'explain' the work, they will ideally give some indication about their intention or some information about the process and what they set out to achieve. In most screen works, the credits are placed at the end of the work and list everyone who has performed in, worked on and contributed to the production.
