ABSTRACT

Peter has early-onset Parkinson’s disease and although he experience many Parkinson’s symptoms, he frequently gets an intense pain in his shoulder and stiffness in his neck. Start with doing things that nurses can comfortably manage without exerting themself and build up from there slowly. In cognitive behavioural therapy, nurses will be working with their therapist identifying unhelpful thoughts and finding ways to modify these thoughts, so they won’t hold nurses back. Magda is a senior psychologist working at a busy University hospital. On top of seeing patients in the clinic, she is heading the training program for clinical psychologists and she delivers lectures for the program.
