Who decides on the aims of primary education? We suggest that there are two answers here: other people and yourself. As a beginning teacher, you may feel uncertain about what your own aims should or could be. However, on a micro scale, you will be thinking about aims on a daily basis with regard to individual activities and lessons. Indeed, aims of one sort or another inform everything we do in schools.
