There is so much more to becoming a teacher who truly feels like a real professional than meets the eye! This is because it not only involves meeting the standards as stipulated but also includes grappling with the behaviours, knowledge, skills and (most importantly) beliefs and values you think are needed to make you feel like you are a professional. This unit will help you examine the journey you are on to becoming a true professional in relation to both the technical things you need to be able to demonstrate and to the processes, challenges and tensions you are likley to face along the way.
