ABSTRACT
This chapter aims to discuss some of the critical issues affecting the education and empowerment of young people in India. It explores some of the challenges facing the youth of India as citizens in the seventh-largest country by area, the second most populous country in the world with over 1.2 billion people and one of the fastest-growing economies in the world. It concludes by identifying different factors which could determine what the future looks like for young people.
