ABSTRACT
In like case the mystic, to be freed from care, has lighted the heart’s candle from the body’s imperfect lantern so that, when one day the body’s lantern dies, he may set before his eyes the candle of the spirit. This the king did not understand; therefore, deluded by false hope, he applied the mortal candle to another equally mortal.
