ABSTRACT
God had fashioned the night-watchman into the means so that, fearing him, he should run into the orchard by night and behold the beloved there, lantern in hand, searching for a ring in the runnel of the orchard. Therefore that very moment in joy he conjoined with his praise of God prayers for God’s blessing upon the night-watchman.
