ABSTRACT
T H E noble ruler of Bukhara made it his practice to act kindly towards beggars. Great was his bounty; in his measureless munificence he used to sprinkle gold all day, even to night fall. The gold was screwed up in pieces of paper; he continued to scatter bounty as long as he lived.
