ABSTRACT

N O W we come to the two-coated peacock. He displays himself seeking fame and name. His one ambition is to snare men; he is ignorant of good and evil, he knows nothing what may be the result and benefit of his snaring. He takes his prey ignorantly, like a trap: what knowledge has a trap as to the purpose of its action? What hurt or profit comes to the trap from taking its prey? I marvel at its heedless catching!
