ABSTRACT
This chapter reviews the development of Chinese outward direct investment and the development of China’s free trade agreement (FTA) as well as its impact on China’s ODI activities. The development of FTAs to a large extent facilitates cross-border investment. This chapter then points out future considerations of Chinese government on the FTAs and offers useful suggestions for enterprises that are planning to invest overseas.
