ABSTRACT

There are numerous ways of transferring images to substrates. Substrates can be loosely defined as anything that can receive the image that a person wishes to output. The machine that a person uses to produce their images is specific to the papers and desired output. A photocopy machine is an electronic duplicator that fuses a reproduced image to plain bond paper. This is heat transferred as opposed to a home or office inkjet machine. Photocopy machines are often used for outputting various kinds of papers. A scanner is a device that optically scans an image, printed text, handwriting, or an object, and converts it to a digital image. Even images that have been manipulated through, for example, transferring with acetone, Xylol, or Citra Solv can be further manipulated with any software, then produced onto another surface such as wood, and then scanned back into a person's computer for further manipulation and/or output.
