ABSTRACT
With Patrick McAuslan’s death what had been a project designed to cele - brate his work at a conference organised at Birkbeck Law School on 12-13 January 2012, is sadly also an honorary commemoration of the person and of the work. Yet we shall continue to remember and celebrate him and his seminal as well as multi-faceted contributions to scholarship, education, policy and law making. This volume is only a preliminary part to what is held to be a necessary long-term study of Patrick McAuslan’s work and contributions to numerous fields, worldwide, in the time to come.
