ABSTRACT
Our own best lessons didn’t appear out of thin air and nothing that we do is original. I would actually argue that we shouldn’t feel the need to be original. Our own best lessons will develop out of the best lessons that we have observed. This is why Chapter 8 is important. And why the order of these two chapters is important. What is original is the use of the idea, or the strategy, or the resource in a new setting, with a new group of learners and to use it effectively. And, of course, the idea will be new to every new group that we use it with.
