ABSTRACT
Watching others teach is an important part of professional development at all levels. As beginning teachers, we observe others in order to learn the basic skills of our craft; we might observe others or invite observations as part of an in-service professional development programme; experienced teachers and leaders might observe beginning teachers or experienced teachers in order to provide an opportunity for reflective practice and to offer feedback.
