ABSTRACT

As a DIY (do it yourself) space, YouTube gives access to diverse groups of people to make videos and partner with the site to generate income, making the internet more inclusive by channeling attention and some money to groups long absent from most corporate mass production of video in the US Hannah Hart uploaded her first video on March 16, 2011. Hannah created more, in a series for her own YouTube channel. As her fame grew, she expanded to videos of advice, connecting more with her viewers. In 2018, YouTube has become a center of video culture. Production companies offer help to manage the celebrity of YouTubers such as Hart, teaching them to monetize their videos and sponsoring conventions where fans meet their idols. YouTube provides a medium for people to create and control their own videos. Though YouTube started as a user-generated content website, professionally-generated content has taken over.
