The human resource management (HRM) responsibilities include recruitment, overseeing training and development, motivation, evaluation and compensation. A job specification is a statement of the essential components of a job class, including a summary of the work to be performed, primary duties and responsibilities, and the minimum qualifications and requirements necessary to perform the essential functions of the job. It describes the knowledge, skills, education, experience and abilities entrepreneurs believe are essential to performing a particular job. A curriculum vitae is a Latin word for 'course of life'. It is a summary of entrepreneur's experience, skills and education. All employees in start-up companies can perform a range of tasks outside of their official job descriptions, and a good number of them have generous leeway in making decisions. An organizational function and structure is one in which the organization is divided into smaller groups based on specialized functional areas, such as IT, finance or marketing.
