ABSTRACT

This chapter uses data to show the growth of the nonprofit sector and the need for teaching skills to nonprofit leaders and managers. The food hub creates a distribution opportunity that will ensure employment for low-income individuals and bring healthy food choices to low-income areas. The chapter proposes building better collaborations as a critical leverage point for nonprofit organizations. The aperture between research and practice creates critical leverage points for development and thriving for nonprofit organizations. Building better collaborations is one such strategy for leveraging opportunities, successful performance, innovation, and rejuvenation in community-focused work. The work culminates in the development of a strengths-based and research-informed logic-modeled program articulated in a grant proposal that actualizes rejuvenative collaboration and innovation. The chapter reintroduces the collaboration blueprint and suggests delivery of the tool for practitioners through a design lens. It provides details on the inspiration, ideation, and implementation design framework for project development and discusses specific steps.
