ABSTRACT

The Manitoba Workplace Safety and Health Act and Regulation, 2007, as amended 2014, protects workers from psychological harassment in the workplace, such as intimidation, bullying, and humiliation, and include requirements to protect workers from workplace harassment under Part 10 and workplace violence under Part 11. Employers must also take reasonable precautions to protect workers if the employer is aware or ought to be aware that domestic violence is likely to expose a worker to harassment or physical injury in the workplace. Harassment means objectionable conduct that creates a risk to the health of a worker; or severe conduct that adversely affects a worker's psychological or physical well-being. Reasonable conduct of an employer or supervisor in respect of the management and direction of workers or the workplace is not harassment. An employer must post a copy of the harassment prevention policy in a conspicuous place at the workplace.
