ABSTRACT

There is something eminently delightful in the sight of human joy, whether it be the buoyant youthful lightness of heart and brightness of hope, or the triumphant joy in the noble fulfilment of a noble and pure hope; or the quiet indestructible joy of trust in God, while all you love fades from you—unsearchable on earth save in thought; or while one blessing after another pours upon you and you say, 'It is from our Father.' Inwardly one blesses the joyous person, and says, 'Shine on, a sun upon God's earth.'
