ABSTRACT

To us it is almost easy to watch those whom we love best during years of doubt. For as we believe that God has better things to come in the life beyond this for us whom He has blessed here, how much more sure are we that He Who sought the lost sheep, and rejoiced over the lost silver; Who knew that he loved most to whom most had been forgiven; Who knew that they which were whole needed not a physician, but they who were sick; Who seemed to yearn with peculiar love towards those whom He would have gathered beneath His wings and they would not—how much more are we sure that He has blessings for them, better than we can dream—they who in this world have suffered evil things, shall they not lie for ever in a better than Abraham's bosom?
