ABSTRACT

The author has commented on how a particular aspect of the work or sensitivity can be applied to the rehearsal process, auditioning, or performing. During the Rehearsal Process, the cast members become a company, joining together into an alive and functioning unit sharing a creative purpose. Rehearsal procedures are structured and scheduled to fit the medium, the type of production, and location, all of which varies between the commercial and noncommercial theater, musicals, TV, and film. When running an audition, Strasberg told that he spoke to the individual actors specifically in an attempt to elicit reactions and behavior that might shed light on their capabilities. The actor trainee's preparation for a role should become a matter of daily practice leading up to performance. Prior to each performance, review the exercises that he have consciously chosen and worked on.
