ABSTRACT

There is some translation of popular science from English to Arabic – that is, scientific material presented in such a way that it is accessible to the intelligent and relatively well-informed non-specialist reader (an example is the text in Practical 16.2). An example is مﻮﻠﻌﻟا ﺔﻠﺠﻣ, published by the Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences, which is a translation of the well-known popular science magazine Scientific American.
