ABSTRACT
As you build your practice, you may find it helpful to integrate other income streams beyond those that are clinically focused. Why? No matter how interesting the clinical work, doing the same thing repeatedly can get boring. Plus, I’m guessing that many of you reading this are introverts like me, and you enjoy quiet, focused work that you can do on your own. I’ve had several times in my life when I wished I had chosen a profession where, as one friend said when she was in high school, “I could be locked in a room and left to work on my own.” I suspect she’d been assigned too many group projects. Ironically, she just graduated with her Psy.D.
