ABSTRACT

The life of the law "has not been logic: it has been experience." 1 In antitrust, accordingly, the law has reflected its experience in pursuing the social and economic goals of Congress. Presently, however, it is urged to follow the logic of an economic theory. In the future, therefore, antitrust must choose between its past experience with legislative goals and the present logic of a theory.
