ABSTRACT

O f this species I have seen several specimens, and fragments. Three of these are the original specimens figured in the Mineral Conchology, as B. crassus, an examination of which I owe to the great kindness of Mr J . de C. Sowerby. Some specimens equally or more perfect are in Mr S. Wood’s collection. I have further seen a specimen from Touraine, which was presented to Sir C. Lyell by M. Dujardin, under the name of B. fasciatus, which I fully believe to be B. tintinnabulum. None of these
