ABSTRACT

Chelsea Jan. 8th 1907 –

Dear Bram I’m afraid I’m too busy writing the volume of “Recollections” of which Pear-

son, McClure1 and others have bought the serial book rights to think, at any rate for some time of doing the little book which Mr Heinemann2 suggested to you I should write for him some years and years ago – I shall be glad, however, when this book is nished and published to consider a suggestion in regard to the publication of something else if he wants it – If, in the meantime Mr Heinemann would like me to return the £50 you (or Mr H.) lent me on the proposed book I will do so at once of course = I’ve been meaning to do for years and why on earth I should have had the £50 Goodness only knows!! –
