ABSTRACT
A rather typical, although still original, case study in the research field of the economic approach to environmental problems gives us a useful opportunity to appraise the resources of the socioeconomics paradigm. The case study also highlights some of the paradigm’s epistemological foundations concerning the forms of the reasoning processes involved in such research.
