ABSTRACT
The first ten chapters of this work represent an effort to describe how the United Nations works as an institution. These later chapters represent an effort to place the United Nations in the stream of general social process. Then, chapter 15 sets forth suggestions for change in the UN structure and functions such as, we may judge, would help to produce a more pleasant and livable world at the beginning of the twenty-first century.
