ABSTRACT
Given the basic tenets of socialism, one might expect that group interests should manifest themselves mainly in the planning process, which should provide a mechanism for their coordination. In reality, however, the planned economy does not create conditions for the free expression of particular group interests. This is due, in J6zefiak's opinion, to the monocentric character of the noneconomic social order (J6zefiak 1984, p. 145).
