ABSTRACT

Business games have recently received much attention in both academic journals and popular publications in the former USSR. These games have spread throughout the country and are used in many areas of economic and social life. Not long ago, game specialists had the burden of showing that the games deserved serious attention. Now, however, game specialists are considered perestroika professionals [3]. Business games have become a popular theme in the mass media. Television and newspapers have promoted them to such an extent that the well-known games, such as the CEO's election at the RAF minibus plant [33], the all-union summer camp at Artek, and the Baikal-Amur main railway line, are as popular among their followers as world sports events.
