ABSTRACT

The contract of property hire is used to assign property for temporary use and is used in the mutual relationships of citizens as well as of organizations. The lessee uses the property of the lessor in return for payment. The contract of property hire is reciprocal; that is its essential condition. The lessor must be the owner of the property or possess the right to its operative management. The parties to a contract of property hire may be enterprises, institutions, and organizations, as well as citizens. Socialist organizations conclude contracts of property hire in the written form. A citizen may lease out an article for domestic use to another citizen if this is not of the nature of the prohibited handicraft and artisan business. The property granted by the contract and its use must agree with the conditions of the contract.
