ABSTRACT

A great deal is said, written, and thought about Islam, for various reasons and in various connections. First and foremost they were prepared to struggle for power under religious, Islamic slogans. One of the peculiarities of the gathering popularity of Islamic fundamentalism is the multiplicity of its movements and organizations. The goals of their broadcasts are openly disruptive, even though the broadcasts purport to be about the Muslim religion. It is known that among the clergy of Central Asia and other places where Islam is traditional in the Soviet Union, there are many interesting people. In fact, the program of scientific studies of the problems of modern Islamic studies includes the publication of an enormous number of monographs and collections on the history and ideology of Islam, on its position in foreign countries and regions, but it does not include a section offering the study of Islam in the USSR.
