ABSTRACT
Hours of service: The Division and Reading Room are open to the public 8:30AM-5:00PM, Monday through Friday. No weekend hours or service on federal holidays.
Conditions of access: Use of the Reading Room is limited to persons age 18 or older. Before admittance to the Reading Room, a prospective reader must obtain a reader's card from the Reader Registration Section, Room 140, James Madison Building. Individuals must adhere to general guidelines and regulations of the Library to remain readers in good standing. Only papers/notes/ pencil may be brought into the Reading Room. Wraps and other personal items are to be secured in lockers, which are provided. Personal computers can be brought into the room. This is all part of the in-processing that occurs at the security desk prior to admittance to the room.
