This site provides an extensive gateway to Finnish and Scandinavian history Web resources. Researchers would benefit from exploring other country indexes within the WWW Virtual Library when doing Scandinavian history research, as well as research in a vast array of areas. This site provides information about the history of Norway; history of general interest throughout all of Scandinavia, Europe, and North America; and general genealogical information regarding Norwegian immigration to Canada and the United States. The Danish Data Archives, an independent unit within the group of Danish State Archives, is a national data bank for researchers and students in Denmark and abroad. Researchers have online access to demographic and social data through this site. H-Skand is a daily Internet discussion forum focused on scholarly topics in Scandinavian history as well as the national histories of the Scandinavian countries.
