ABSTRACT

This site provides a history of Andorra, the world's smallest nation, a 450- square-kilometer territory located between France and Spain. The site also links users to information about the area, people, and economy of Andorra. This is an exemplary site, showing how the international community of historians can collaborate in producing an innovative and challenging site, expanding historical awareness and understanding in a manner rarely encountered on the Internet. Hosted by James G. Chastain at Ohio University, it calls on over 170 extensive articles on the experience of the revolutions throughout Europe, from Ireland in the west to Russia in the east. One of the first and most extensive online collections of primary historical documents, both excerpts and full texts. Though many are older English translations, the site also includes texts in French, Spanish, and Latin, as well as some secondary literature.
