ABSTRACT
More than a half century has passed since the death of Franklin D. Roosevelt. The military and political decisions of his time have profoundly impacted current affairs and will do so for generations to come. During Roosevelt’s administrations, the foundation for a vibrant, just economy had been laid and a new world order dedicated to achieving and maintaining peace was established so firmly that it would withstand future crises and challenges. His successors have stood in his tall shadow. His presidency set the standard for the measurement of their abilities and achievements.
