Facing the Future: The Economic Dimension
The revolutionary changes in international economic structures have been almost as dramatic as the implosion o f Communism on the struc ture o f the international system. Beginning in the early 1970s, an inter national economic system that had been largely dominated by the United States began to be transformed in the direction o f what we now view as the globalizing economy. In the process, the greater prosperity that continues to mark the ongoing system began to spread. That pro cess continues.
