ABSTRACT
Nearly all organizations today have some form of a limited preventive maintenance program designed to reduce equipment downtime and to prolong the service life of select pieces of equipment and systems. Few organizations, though, have a fully comprehensive preventive maintenance program. Comprehensive programs are generally viewed by management as being too costly. Fewer still have implemented maintenance programs that stress energy conservation.
