ABSTRACT

We live in an increasingly complex age-one of new technology, endless research, and specialization. Each year, more and more new information is added to the total of human knowledge. There are currently more than 540,000 words in the English language, about 5x times as many as during Shakespeare’s time. Combine the increasingly diverse word selections coupled with Google currently having more than 88 billion searches conducted on its service every month, and it becomes obvious we live in a world increasingly focused on information.
