ABSTRACT

If you are like most people, you participate in some form of group discussion almost daily. There are all kinds of group discussions. They may be planned or spontaneous, structured or unstructured, formal or informal, permanent or temporary. Some discussions take place with a group of friends over coffee or with fellow workers during the lunch hour. Others occur in the home where everything from the high cost of living to what to do about the neighbor’s dog may be covered. More and more, however, discussions are occurring more formally in organized committees and action groups.
