ABSTRACT
Adam is majoring in communication and biology. He works part-time at an animal hospital as a receptionist. Adam’s father is an animal lover, and Adam has grown up with many different types of pets, including lizards, rabbits, and sheep. Even at a young age, Adam and his father would volunteer at animal shelters every other Saturday, helping to clean cages and walk the dogs. His father always taught him the importance of taking care of animals and the many benefits animals can have on people’s health. The next assignment in Adam’s class is to present an informative speech. Since Adam’s instructor has encouraged the students to share their personal experiences and passions, Adam decides to focus on one of his favorite organizations, the Humane Society. First, he must do extensive research on the topic.
