ABSTRACT
In his communication course, Melvin must research, write, and deliver an informative speech. One topic that he has always been interested in is illiteracy. Melvin’s grandfather never learned to read, and he often told Melvin about his struggles at work and at home because he could not read. Melvin decided to find out about illiteracy in his community.
