ABSTRACT

Many other solar cycles have been identified. These include a 22year Hale cycle that is linked to the Schwabe cycle and additional cycles with periods of 87, 216, 2,300, and 6,000 years. There is even an unproven suggestion that a 1,500year solar cycle may have driven climate changes in the North Atlantic toward the end of the last glaciation; we will look at this again in Chapter 6.
