ABSTRACT

Think back over the last several weeks. How often have you been involved in group activities or heard others speaking about attending a meeting of some type? If you are typical, you probably came up with a considerable list. Businesspeople hold conferences, scientists work in teams, educators serve on committees, families meet and discuss mutual joys and problems, students attend classes, and form study groups, citizens serve on juries, and athletes play on teams. All of these are examples of groups in action.
