ABSTRACT

We have, in this book, visited great cathedrals with their soaring spires, and famous temples adorned with the treasured artifacts and memories of many generations. We have gazed at religious paintings and statues that draw throngs of tourists and are rightly said to represent the noblest aspirations of their cultures. We have looked at, and will examine in more detail later, religious philosophies and doctrines able to hold their own in the marketplace of ideas along with other world-class articulations of human thought about the Ultimate.
