ABSTRACT
Xu Wugui was granted an audience from Marquis Wu of Wei throughthe introduction of Ru Shang. The Marquis spoke to him with courteous sympathy, “What a wretched life you are living, Sir. The rigour of life in the mountains and forests has been formidable, and still you have generously come to see me.”
